  hmmm.... how many of you, in the process of waking up, got really angry with websites like jwfacts.com etc.. etc... even calling them slanders etc?

  i think all of you are doing a great job, keep it on guys!.

  for months, every day, i would be like "no way!", "can't be"

  Never got angry at any ex JW sites, but i did get angry about the WT and JWs

  1973 versus 2013 (40 years later)... How much confidence have J-Dubs lost in the Slave's "End-Time" estimations?

  back in 1973, when i was just a pre-teen, i remember that meetings in general were chock full of persecution talks, great tribulation talks and armageddon talks.

  so much so, that there was a hightened sense of anticipation that the end was really just a few years away.

  most j-dubs really believed, without any doubt, that freddy's estimation about armageddon in 1975 was a certainty (give or take a few months... not years).

  I remember it well too, I was 13 in 1975. We buried a stack of bibles and watchtowers under the floor of the shed, ready to collect in the dark of night drom some forest hideaway. Persecution was all the talk.

  these days its a case of dont mention and after a few years no JW will even remember. With one of the highest revolving door memberships of any religion, that wont take too long.

  so, 2 weekends ago, my wife is showing an apartment to a potential buyer in the financial district of san juan and walks the buyer over to the balcony to show her the awesome views.

  the buyer looks down at a crowd approaching puerto rico coliseum (aka jose miguel agrelot coliseum) and asked my wife: "are those jehovah's witnesses?

  " my wife looks down from 19 stories up, notices the "pioneer pace" of the crowd and says: "yes.

  1. Free mason?, there is no hard evidence to say he was. The pyramid was not erected as a directory for those buried in the lot, it is a monument to the laodecian messager, Russell.

  2. the WT did join the UN as an NGO, the paper work clearly shows they knew the rules, they were outed and quit

  3. Can't comment myself, never looked at it. Dont care.

  5. child abuse and the WT? As true as it is in the catholic church, and as hidden. I have seen the policy of protection in action.

  Personally, not one of these things bothers me true or false. There are so many other things that just add up to amountain of proof that the WT, the JWs are among the most evil groups on the planet. I am extremely interested in truth. MY own journey was one of discovery of the true and the not true stories in Ex JW land. It took me a year, how long will it take you?

  in the jw-land, are there any of the gb, elders, or whatever posts/people get paid for doing the "good work"?

  do they receive any monetary income (in term of salary/allowance/whatever as long as it is $$$) which come from donation aka from the congregation?.

  All bethelites get an 'allowance', as do travelling sales reps

  as for the GB, on paper they may well get the same allowance as the floor sweeper but the difference is in the package...

  the apartment, the travel, the food, golden handshakes...

  i am sure those up to date would know the amounts of $$$

  i'm doing the fade but i reckon my big mouth could get me dfd.

  i know plenty who've been dfd for fornication/adultery, but never met one dfd for speaking the truth.

  many of you refer to wts as a rich publishing corp. since the mags they pass out are free i don't understand how they make money from them?

  Dont forget there were the glory days for the Wt before they went 'free'.

  but even since then, anything they print goes instant 7 million seller.

  the glory days of Knorrs business building and franz's frenzy paid for for most of what they bought or built in property and no doubt the large investments that they have as well.

  Is it the GB's plan to NOT explain the nu FDS lite?

  perhaps i am overthinking this.......but i may have come to the conclusion that the gb's refusal to address and explain in detail all of the changes mentioned at the 2012 annual meeting is in and of itself.....their final explanation.

  from what i have gathered by speaking discreetly with those that are still "in" but on the fringe.......the information given at the 2012 meeting meant practically nothing to most jws.

  in fact.....most are still completely unaware of the changes.
